Boston Bruins: Milan Lucic Returns to Beantown

Man, Milan Lucic has always carried my respect in NHL culture. He was the backbone of that bad ass Bruins team that won the Stanley Cup with Chara, Tyler Seguin and the like in 2011. Now, he’s headed back to Boston.

Interestingly, it sounds like Lucic considered going to the Chicago Blackhawks, which would have made them even more intriguing with Connor Bedard, Taylor Hall, and Corey Perry already in the mix.
Lucic signed a one-year, $1 million dollar deal to return to Boston after garnering what sounds like a good degree of interest around the league. It will be interesting to see what type of team Boston is this year after the record setting regular season and letdown against Florida in the playoffs last season.
